Match report

Reading Royals were superior where it counted as they cruised to a 3-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon at Sandhurst.

The Dons had the edge in the first half. Rachel Morrison's lob was clawed away by Crane and a great Keisha Ramos cross was stabbed just wide by Anne-Marie Collins. Lou Cooper did well to take Abbott's attempted chip, then Beth Sims crossed for Collins to head wide. Cooper brilliantly turned Rudman's header round the post, but the resultant corner bounced into the net off Rudman to give Reading Royals the lead in the 44th minute.

Two goals in seven minutes secured the points for the home team. In the 66th minute a long free-kick wasn't cleared, Abbott's shot was only parried for Lipscombe to tap the loose ball home. Abbott then scored a brilliant solo goal, dancing through thhe Dons defence to score. Morrison shot wide when well placed, and in the last 10 minutes Reading Royals started to get on top territorially, Lipscombe being denied by Cooper's legs and Abbott's chip clipping the top of the crossbar.
