Alfie on signing new deal

Midfielder interviewed after putting pen to paper

Alfie Egan believes he is in the right place to take his game up another level after committing his future to AFC Wimbledon.

Shortly after signing a new deal, we caught up with the midfielder who has progressed through the ranks for an interview.

A delighted Alfie said: “I am just excited to get started from now. I’ve signed with two games to go so hopefully I will get some game-time. It’s a great club and I’ve been here for years now so I feel at home. I am trying to adjust to first-team football and I still have things to develop. The manager. ‘Coxy’ and ‘Bass’ will help me on that front. I feel that I am developing well, but I want to end the season on a high and start the next season really well.

“I have to work on playing in a four-man midfield, as a two with whoever it is, and I have to get stronger physically. Those are the two main aspects, but there are always things you can work on and I just want to improve all-round really.”
