Great Christmas gifts up for grabs as part of Silent Auction

There's still time to get your bids in for a fantastic selection of sporting memorabilia with Lyle Taylor's boots among those items up for grabs.

Supporters can bid online until midnight on Friday with the 2016 Silent Auction culminating in the middle bar before Saturday’s game against Port Vale.

Silent Auctions have raised nearly £40,000 for the Dons Trust since their inception, and this year the auction team have been busy sourcing a wide range of sporting memorabilia, including great Wimbledon items.

All funds raised will once again be donated to the club.

Below is a description of each item and the bids attracted so far with auction organisers Ray Armfield and Paul Jeater holding the live bidding on Saturday. Those without prices next to them we've yet to receive bids for.

Lot 1 – 50 Years of Hurt

Professionally-framed and authenticated replica Umbro England shirt, signed by 1966 World Cup hat-trick hero Geoff Hurst, framed with a photo of his famous “they think it’s all over” goal and match/tournament statistics in boxes below.

Lot 2 – When Dave Went Up... (£81)

Full colour 12 x 8 authenticated press photograph of Wimbledon’s history-making goalkeeper/captain Dave Beasant lifting aloft the FA Cup at Wembley in 1988. Clear, undedicated signature in a black marker pen and framed.

Lot 3 – Lyle Taylor's Boots

Possibly our most-prized item this year, a signed pair of Lyle’s match—worn boots from last season, complete with a Perspex display case and personalised plaque to show them off. You won’t want to miss these.

Lot 4 – “Sanchez...1-0!”

Framed, authenticated 16 x 12 signed colour montage of press photos of 1988 FA Cup winning goalscorer Lawrie Sanchez, with the main image depicting his glancing header from Dennis Wise’s free kick.

Lot 5 – Playoff Winners! (£508)

Admiral home shirt (Size L) from 2015/16 season, fully signed by the squad, including Adebayo Akinfenwa and Neal Ardley, that successfully negotiated the playoffs then the memorable Wembley final win over Plymouth Argyle.

Lot 6 – The Young Ones (£50)

Mark Robinson and his hugely-talented U18 squad that performed so well in the FA Youth Cup last season, knocking out two Premier League sides on their own grounds, have signed this 2015/16 home shirt.

Lot 7 – ‘Deano!’ (£81)

The underrated cog of the Wimbledon defence, we have a XL Puma ‘Tiny’ sponsored home shirt from 2000/01 with ‘Blackwell’ and ‘5’ on the back, signed to the front by Dean Blackwell with ‘Best Wishes’.

Lot 8 - "Ohh, Kenny Kenny..." (£81)

A last-minute addition to the 2016 line-up is a magnificent professionally-framed 'Tiny' WFC home shirt signed to the front by Kenny Cunningham. Bid early to secure this one!

Lot 9 – Lewis Hamilton 2016 Monaco GP winner (£150)

Copy of the 82 page A4 official glossy race programme, signed to the cover by race winner and three-times World Champion Lewis Hamilton. A must for F1 fans and an ideal Christmas present.

Lot 10 – Wimbledon SW19 – it’s a sign! (£150)

Something very different – a lovingly restored ‘Wimbledon SW19’ sign, said to have come from the Centre Court Shopping Centre redevelopment many years ago – with a bonus of a 1977 Wombles Annual. Needs to be seen!

Lot 11 – Put Your Shirt On it! (£190)

Another ideal gift, size L Admiral home shirt with all this season’s favourites signing it to the front. Would look lovely framed for the Dons fan in your life to open on Christmas morning!

Lot 12 – Get on the ball (£81)

Also signed and up-to-date with your 2016/17 squad – a brand spanking new multi-signed official AFC Wimbledon Mitre football, supplied by the club’s Commercial Department.

Lot 13 – Sports Interactive Goodie Bag

It’s a big bag this year! Copy of Football Manager 2017 for the PC, hardback official guide, mug, glass tankard, two limited-edition t-shirts – adult and child size, plus a Football Manager mat. Phew!

Lot 14 – Matchball Sponsorship package

Matchball sponsorship package at a mutually-convenient fixture for four people, which includes hospitality meals, match tickets, programmes and a post-game photo with the Man-of-the-Match. (Reserve £300).

Lot 15 – Chris Gayle – Six Machine

Dubbed the Zlatan Ibrahimovic of cricket – one of the most exciting batsman in all forms of the game in recent years, the West Indian’s motto is ‘if it’s there hit it’. Signed hardback autobiography.

Lot 16 – Boris Becker’s Wimbledon

Authoritative memoirs from the German tennis champion and occasional AFC Wimbledon fan – a very readable book for any tennis lover – signed copy and an ideal Christmas gift from the Boris we all like!

Lot 17 – The Inside Track

Cycling’s golden couple Laura Trott and Jason Kenny won their first Olympic Gold in London 2012 and both won further golds in Rio. How did they do it? Buy this book – signed by both and find out!

Lot 18 – In Safe Hands (£40)

A pair of match-worn and signed Pro-GK goalkeepers gloves from AFC Wimbledon’s very own ‘Minister of Defence’ James Shea.

Lot 19 –1966 revisited

anniversary framed tribute to the heroes of 1966, this 16 x 12 authenticated colour montage of England’s four World Cup winning goals has been signed by both goalscorers – Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.thA double 50

Lot 20 – Jake Goodman 33

A match-worn yellow Admiral Size XL shirt of Jake Goodman. Sky Bet decals on sleeve, name and number on reverse. In good condition and will catch the eye of shirt collectors. Get your bid in quick!
