Rolling back the years at Kingsmeadow

SATURDAY

“All or Nothing”

We have DJs playing some of the greatest tracks to come out of the MOD movement, R&B, Ska, Soul and more.  On Friday and Saturday at The Rose Theatre in Kingston there is a MOD musical called “All or Nothing” and on Saturday night we are hosting the after-show party. On Saturday night we rewind to the swinging 60s with our “All or Nothing” after-show party.

We will be very honoured to welcome the wonderful writer of the show Carol Harrison and various cast members to the after-show party on Saturday.

£10 without. Entry price is £5 with your ticket from the show or Sheffield United match ticket or ST booklet.

Doors open at 8pm and we keep on running until 1.00 am.

Info about All Or Nothing: A MOD Musical

In 1964, a new phenomenon exploded onto the dingy British streets. It was the essence of all that was cool. It was Mod. They were working-class free spirits who rode sexy stream-lined Italian Vespas or Lambrettas.

The sharpest Mod of all was known as a ‘FACE’.

The Small Faces encapsulated all that is Mod, a unique blend of taste and testosterone, neat, clothes obsessed and street-wise. But these cult sophisticates shared another passion, their dedication to Rhythm ‘n’ Blues. This quintessentially British ‘Mod’ Musical celebrates the unique sound of the iconic ‘60s Mod band, The Small Faces.

Featuring the music of The Small Faces, including an arsenal of brilliant hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, Lazy Sunday, Tin Soldier, Sha La La La Lee, Itchycoo Park and of course All Or Nothing.

SUNDAY

A Rockin' Good Vintage Alldayer IX (11.00 am until 6.30 pm)

The President's Lounge becomes the Pamper Parlour with hairdressers, make-up artist, Barber and pin up photographer while the Main bar plays host to the Vintage market, selling everything from original Vintage Clothes to household items and everything in between.  Our car park turns into a showcase for those cars. Sunday sees Kingsmeadow transported back a further decade to the 50s when Rock & Roll, Circle skirts, Victory Rolls, sleek, and long cars were in fashion and Elvis was King.

We will have Shakey's Diner here serving beautiful burgers & hot dogs.  Want something more substantial to eat?  We have our very own Vintage Tea room selling you tea, coffee and a selection of cakes and treats. In the back bar there are DJs playing the very best music from the era with live music from the award winning band The Bluejays.

Come along and sample the delights on offer. This will be our 9th Vintage Day at the ground and each one is bigger and better and this one will be no exception.

Gates open at 11am and is £7 for adults with kids under 15 going free for the day. The event goes on until 6.30 pm.

All funds raised from both events will be donated to the club.
