Development squad seek to extend fine run of form
AFC Wimbledon will tomorrow face Peterborough United yet again with the young Dons managed by Alan Reeves aiming to build on their impressive start to the season.
Following Saturday’s first-team game, the two clubs will meet in a Central League Cup South match at the training ground (1.30 pm kick-off).
Our development squad are currently top of the Central League table after beating Bristol Rovers 4-0 last time out with goals from Toyosi Olusanya, Egli Kaja, George Oakley (pictured) and Jayden Antwi.
Playing at development level has provided a good platform for players to stake first-team claims and last month Will Nightingale and Chris Robertson, who both starred in Saturday's win at Peterborough, were paired together at centre-back in a 3-0 win at Posh.
