Equaliser versus Oxford awarded to Dons midfielder
Our midfielder Dean Parrett has been officially awarded with the equalising goal in AFC Wimbledon’s victory against Oxford last month.
Dean’s superb strike had been credited by the media as an own goal to Oxford United goalkeeper Simon Eastwood.
However, the club put in a request to the English Football League that it should be awarded to Dean and the EFL’s Dubious Goals Committee agreed.
Of course, the Dons went onto win the game 2-1 with a winner from Sean Kelly.
