Second-half flurry earns win for development squad at Cheltenham
Toyosi Olusanya led the second-half goal charge for our development side in a convincing victory at Cheltenham Town today.
Wimbledon had to be patient to earn supremacy with their more inexperienced opponents defending well up until half-time, but goals from Olusanya (pictured), Dan Gallagher, Neset Bellikli and Egli Kaja secured a 4-0 Central League victory.
Alan Reeves said: “They had a really young side out with a lot of Under-18s. In the first-half our opponents worked their socks off and my boys had a lot of possession, without creating too many chances. In the second-half, they tired a bit and that was understandable for young boys. We had a number of chances, but they also had a couple when they broke on us. We scored through four good finishes. We had situations when our boys had team-mates in better positions, but I’ve been around long enough to know that players want to score if they get a chance. We have a couple of games left this season and we want to finish the season on a high.”

Bellikli’s superb strike made it three eight minutes from time and Kaja completing the scoring with another fine goal in the 90
