Scottish defender made a big contribution to Wimbledon
The club is very sorry to announce that former Wimbledon FC player and AFC Wimbledon stalwart Tommy McCready has passed away after an illness.
Tommy, who played for the Dons from 1965 until 1974, made more than 400 league and cup appearances for Wimbledon at centre-back, scoring 25 goals.
In more recent times, proud Scotsman Tommy was a big supporter of AFC Wimbledon after the club’s rebirth and he continued to attend games until recently.
