Striker pencilled in for cameo appearance tonight
George Oakley will tonight make a return after six months out in AFC Wimbledon’s friendly at Raynes Park Vale (7.45 pm kick-off).
Oakley (pictured) will be eased back in with a 30-minute run-out at Grand Drive on his comeback from a broken leg that he suffered in January.
Alan Reeves’ development squad will also feature other players with first-team experience as Will Nightingale, Joe McDonnell, Egli Kaja and David Fitzpatrick are all included. Trialists will also be involved in tonight’s game.
Paul Kalambayi will partner Nightingale in defence with supporters having an opportunity to watch potential first-teamers of the future at a venue that will bring back memories of AFC Wimbledon’s early seasons when the two sides met in the Combined Counties League.
