Dons manager on today's press reports
In response to press reports earlier today that Gillingham defender Andy Frampton has agreed to sign for AFC Wimbledon, the club wishes to release the following statement.
Manager Neal Ardley said: “We have spoken at length with Andy Frampton and terms have been agreed with the player, but he is currently away on holiday. As a club we like to do things properly and we do not announce that we have signed a player until he has signed on the dotted line and passed a medical.
“Although we are hopeful of concluding a deal and Andy would be a major asset to us if he signs, we do not wish to comment further until he has signed.”
