Defender faces lay-off after training ground incident
Neal Ardley today confirmed that Andy Frampton has suffered a broken ankle and he could be out for up to eight weeks.
The experienced centre-back (pictured) is facing a spell on the sidelines after a training ground incident during this week’s trip to La Manga, Spain. An X-ray this morning has confirmed the break and Neal Ardley revealed that he is seeking a replacement to reinforce his defensive options.
Neal Ardley said: “Andy could be out for between six and eight weeks. It was a freak training ground incident and no one was to blame for it. We are obviously gutted and disappointed after hearing the X-ray result. We will be looking to bring someone else in.”
The club wishes Andy all the best in his recuperation and we hope to see him back in a Wimbledon shirt soon.
