Neal completes double swoop

Brighton's Brennan Dickenson joins Wimbledon on loan

We are pleased to announce that Neal Ardley has today completed a double loan swoop with the arrival of Brighton forward Brennan Dickenson.

The 19-year-old, who can play as a striker or left-wing, impressed during a previous loan spell at Chesterfield earlier this season when he scored on his debut against Bristol Rovers.

Brennan (pictured above playing for Brighton’s development side), was signed from non league Dorchester Town in January, 2012, with his form for the Blue Square South outfit having attracted interest from several clubs. The Brighton forward has signed on an initial one-month loan deal.

With Neal Ardley having yesterday signed Jesse Darko on loan from Cardiff City, the Wimbledon manager believes he has now added a new dimension to his attacking options.

“Brennan is direct and can play on the wing, which is what we need with Toby Ajala having left,” said Neal Ardley. “With Brennan, Jesse and Kevin Sainte-Luce we now have three players who are very dynamic and quick. That is what we were looking for and I think they will complement our squad.”

Both Brennan and Jesse are eligible for tomorrow’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Dons Player subscribers can now watch a full video interview with Neal Ardley on our premium site. The Wimbledon boss talks about his new signings and looks ahead to tomorrow’s important match at Victoria Road against Dagenham.
