Terrace tickets remaining for Saturday

AFC Wimbledon will be bidding to end a barren run against Oxford United at the tenth time of asking on Saturday – and you can cheer on the Dons to a long overdue victory.

The likely presence of players who have played for both clubs will add further intrigue to Saturday’s contest. Dannie Bulman (pictured being congratulated after his stunning goal against Luton Town), Sean Rigg and Alfie Potter will all be striving to make an impression against Michael Appleton’s side, the latter having played a vital role in Oxford’s promotion to the Football League in 2010.

Manager Appleton has put together a new-look Oxford squad this season with former Dons Danny Hylton and Michael Collins a part of it and they could both return to the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday.

AFC Wimbledon are yet to win in nine previous matches against Oxford United, but Neal Ardley’s side have been in fine form at home with the Dons unbeaten in seven matches since defeat to Carlisle in January. In November, Wimbledon earned a first point against Oxford since returning to the Football League, and the Dons will be aiming to go one better on Saturday.
