Precautionary checks on defender
Neal Ardley said that Deji Oshilaja’s injury is not as bad as first feared and he is hopeful that the defender will get the all-clear.
On-loan Cardiff centre-back Oshilaja fell to the ground head first after an aerial challenge and the match was held up for a substantial time period while he received treatment.
However, Neal said it was just a “precaution” to take Oshilaja to hospital.
“You have to be careful with a neck injury and our medical team did a great job,” said Neal. “Deji will have a scan to make sure there are no side effects, but Stuart Douglas is hopeful that he will be given the all-clear.”
