Ladies game at the stadium

21 April 2015

Free entry for match on Wednesday evening

AFC Wimbledon Ladies will be aiming to ensure there is no cup final hangover tomorrow night when they are back in action at the Cherry Red Records Stadium (8.00 pm kick-off).

It’s back to the bread and butter of the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier League for Wimbledon after the glory of winning the Surrey Women’s Cup.

But manager Chris Lyons believes that running out at the Cherry Red Records Stadium will be an ideal scenario after the elation of cup glory.

“We are looking forward to playing under the floodlights because it is a massive step-up for the girls,” said Chris. “It makes a big difference for them to play at a ground used for Football League matches. Hopefully, it will give us a lift. We are unbeaten in all competitions since 26 October and we want 12 points from the last four games.”

Dons Ladies usually play their home fixtures at Archbishop Tenison’s School Sports Ground in New Malden.

.Cup Glory AFC Wimbledon could move level on points with third placed Fulham FC Foundation with a victory against KIKK United. If you missed our latest update about the success of AFC Wimbledon Ladies, click on
