There was a fantastic response to our online survey in May and the Dons Trust wishes to thank everyone who responded.
A total of 903 people completed the survey, representing 33 per cent of our Dons Trust members, 23 per cent of our season ticket holders and 19 per cent of our shareholders. While the process was not perfect as we had two complaints, it did enable us to quickly get an excellent response. We were therefore able to act on this feedback with some confidence as we knew that the views expressed were representative. There was very clear agreement in many areas. For example, 88 per cent agreed that the Dons Trust does a great job and 83 per cent agreed that Dons Trust membership enables supporters to have a say in how their club is run.
In terms of where our priorities for action lie, the survey gave us some very clear messages. A total of 48 per cent said that more frequent and clearer communication of the work that the Dons Trust does is very important. It is believed that clearer communications is a key benefit that the Dons Trust brings to the club (46 per cent), while 40 per cent of respondents ranked better access to the decision making process as very important. The survey has guided us to focus our efforts on working to raise the profile of the Dons Trust. It will also help to raise awareness of its role and benefits to the club, how it works, the work that it does, and how you can get more involved.
A total of 72 people who responded to the survey provided their contact details and we will be in touch very soon to get their further views generally and on specific aspects of our campaign.
