Draw relaunch is a success

An update on the new-look Dons Draw and winners

The Dons Trust was pleased to reveal the new-look Dons Draw at the Crawley Town game two weeks ago.

Speaking about the day, Academy Manager Jeremy Sauer said: “The day went really well and we were delighted with the amount of new sign-ups we got. Importantly, we left no stone unturned in promoting and raising awareness of the draw. A big thank you to the Academy boys who worked tirelessly before kick-off and did a superb job of engaging with fans."

Hazel Potter, who won second prize and walked onto the pitch at half-time had this to say: "I think the Dons Draw is a really great way to help the club keep bringing through young players. They’re the future of AFC Wimbledon after all and it’s nice to be able to do my bit. This is the second time I’ve won a major prize so that’s an added incentive too.

“The £500 prize has come at a great time to help towards my season ticket renewal and the rest will probably be spent on a trip away. Going on the pitch was fun too, I’ve always wanted to get my hands on a huge cheque like that, and following that with Paul Robinson’s late winner made it a perfect day!"

The Academy players noted considerable interest from people who took away entry forms and promised to complete them at home. If you haven't yet returned the form, then you can bring it to the Dons Draw table in the middle bar today, or post it back to the club. The more people who enter, the higher the prize fund will be for everyone, so do encourage friends and family to get involved. We thank you for your support.

Congratulations to Mike Elliott, Hazel Potter, and Tudor Jennings who each won a share of the £1,750 monthly jackpot. Well done also to the winner of our first weekly prize, Christine Bull, who has won £100, plus a signed first team shirt.

Now with a fresh look, and some new great prizes to be won, proceeds from the Dons Draw help to realise our ambition of having the most productive football academy in South London, producing the stars of AFC Wimbledon's future. Each lottery ticket costs just £2 and you can buy just one ticket if you so wish. Most supporters commit to £10 per month or more and there is no maximum number of tickets that can be purchased. We take payment via Direct Debit each month in order to keep admin and running costs to a minimum.

Winners will be notified automatically if they have won a prize and we will also announce winners on the pitch at half-time, on the official club website, in the match day programme, and on the club Facebook and Twitter pages.
