Get on your marks for the Minithon
You can join Neal Ardley, Haydon the Womble and club staff on the start line for a good cause next month.
The third AFC Wimbledon Minithon gets underway on Sunday, 18 October (12 noon start).
As a fun 5 km event, you can run, walk or jog to show your support for the club with funds raised donated to the AFC Wimbledon Foundation and the academy.
Familiar faces from the club are getting in shape for it and you can sponsor their efforts. Chief Executive Erik Samuelson has been jogging and walking several times a week and he will be joined on the starting line by Neal Ardley and his backroom team. Haydon the Womble will also be swapping Wimbledon Common for Morden Park on the Sunday morning to aid the cause.

Gift aid will be collected retrospectively.
There's already been friendly banter about the event and Neal Ardley is hoping he will not be left behind on the day!
"All the staff (backroom team) are planning to do it and it will be a fun day," said Neal. "Hopefully, we will all stick together, otherwise I will be left behind! It will be a great event to get everyone together, including the fans, and it will be nice to see how good Erik looks at the finishing line!"
Information about academy runners and how to sponsor them is available. Academy coaches, players and some of the boys' parents will also be running too.

The Dons Trust fundraising group are raising funds for AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s community projects and The Academy as it strives to bring through more “home-grown and hungry” players.
It is an event that will once again be supported very generously by Terry’s Badges, who will provide “AFCW Minithon 3” badges for all participants.
We want this to be a big event for the club and as part of this we need volunteers to hand out leaflets at upcoming home games and help on the day of the event from 9.00 am.
