Accident causes diversions on route to Plymouth
We wish to advise Wimbledon supporters travelling by road to today’s game at Plymouth that the A38 is closed in both directions after an accident.
The accident happened earlier this morning on the westbound carriageway between the Chudleigh turnoff and Harcombe Cross.
Diversions were put in place after 6.30am with the road closed between Chudleigh and Splatford Split/Haldon Hill.
The diversion is via the A382 and A380, Newton Abbot and Splatford Split.
Police advice is to avoid the area with major delays expected.
