Dons complete loan signing of Jake Reeves

We are pleased to announce that Neal Ardley has today bolstered his midfield options with the loan signing of Brentford’s Jake Reeves.

The 19-year-old, who has made eight League 1 appearances for Brentford, has signed on a two-month loan deal and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow night’s trip to Exeter City.

Reeves (pictured) first impressed Neal Ardley when the Dons boss was Academy Manager at Cardiff and scouting reports since made it an easy decision to sign the midfielder.

“I first saw Jake play in an U21s match against Cardiff and he stood out in that game,” said Neal Ardley. “Simon Bassey has scouted him recently and the feedback we have had from other contacts about him has been outstanding. That made it a no-brainer to sign him and he will boost our midfield options.”

We wish to also clarify that the paperwork to extend Norwich youngster George Francomb’s loan deal was put through on Friday and he will be with us until the end of the month.
