Speaking during an interview for Dons Player today, Adam said: “Most importantly for the team I think it gave everyone a lift. We had been struggling at home after a couple of defeats and we were down to 10 men. The goal came in the last minute of the tie and we felt we were going to win on penalties then.

“On a personal note it came against Southend, a club I had a fantastic time with. I still have fond memories of my time there, but it was good to put over on them again after we beat them in the league.”

With almost 40 goals scored in first round week even making the shortlist proved an achievement.

The winner will receive the Ultimate Finish trophy and a place in the Ultimate Finish of the Season competition, while all fans who vote for the winning strike will be entered into a special prize draw with one lucky winner receiving an iPod Shuffle.
