Dons take on Carshalton at Leatherhead FC
AFC Wimbledon Ladies have made huge progress this season and tonight they have a chance to clinch silverware in the Surrey Women’s Cup Final (7.30 pm kick-off at Leatherhead FC).
Manager Chris Lyons (pictured centre above) has turned Dons Ladies into contenders at the right end of the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier Division table after a rock-bottom finish last season.
And the Dons go into tonight’s final against Carshalton Athletic with confidence high after a 4-0 win against Fulham FC Foundation last Sunday with Bianca Walker netting two of the goals.
AFC Wimbledon Ladies will be slight underdogs tonight as they are currently fourth in the league table and opponents Carshalton Athletic occupy second spot with an opportunity to still win the title.
