Loan extended for Frankie

27 November 2014

Midfielder to stay until January

We are pleased to announce that the Dons have this afternoon extended midfielder Frankie Sutherland’s loan deal until 6 January.

The 20-year-old (pictured), who made his Dons debut at Northampton Town on 1 November, has started four matches and made two substitute appearances since joining from QPR on loan.

Speaking during an interview for Dons Player, Neal Ardley said: “We’ve been delighted with Frankie since he came here. When we watched Frankie play before signing him he was a player who stood out and looked like he could cope with League 2 football.

“Frankie has shown since that he can cope and it’s great that we will have him until January. We will have him until our first game in January, whether that’s cup or league, and we will assess it again then.”

A full team update from Neal Ardley ahead of Saturday’s match against Cambridge United will appear on Dons Player later this afternoon and subscribers can watch a video interview with Frankie Sutherland tonight.
