Young duo join Harrow for first-team experience
AFC Wimbledon pair Frankie Merrifield and Emmanuel Akokhia have joined Harrow Borough on loan for an initial month.
Midfielder Merrifield (pictured), age 18, has made five first-team appearances this season in all competitions and scored one goal in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Southend United in September.
Akokhia, a pacy forward, has played several games for Wimbledon’s development squad this season.
The pair have been loaned out by manager Neal Ardley to gain first-team experience in the Ryman Premier League with Harrow Borough.
Harrow are currently managed by former AFC Wimbledon manager Dave Anderson and assistant boss is ex-Dons captain Jason Goodliffe.
