Dons hero pencilled in for end of season match

Jon Main will be aiming to roll back the years at AFC Wimbledon on Sunday, 4 May, after he agreed to star in the club’s end of season charity match.

Jon (pictured celebrating a vital goal at Hampton & Richmond during the Conference South title-winning season ) is still revered by Dons fans for his goalscoring exploits and he will line-up for an AFC Wimbledon team against players from the Wimbledon FC era of the club.

Neal Ardley has pledged to appear for both sides to outline his representation in Wimbledon history. Players from the ‘Wimbledon FC era’ of the club will take on a team of more recent AFC Wimbledon stars put together by current first-team coach Simon Bassey.
