Defender rejoins Aldershot Town
Neal Ardley has today confirmed that defender Mark Phillips has joined Aldershot Town on loan for a month.
Phillips (pictured) joined Wimbledon in the summer, but his opportunities have been limited and the centre-back has therefore gone back for a second loan spell at Aldershot after playing for the Conference National club last season.
Neal Ardley said: “Following an injury to Mark in pre-season, it was imperative that he got game-time and a run of competitive games to force his way into the first-team. That’s something we’ve not been able to give him so far and both parties have therefore decided that a loan is the best option for Mark get into the first-team here.”
Phillips has made two first-team starts and two substitute appearances for Wimbledon this season.
