McCallum's loan is extended

Neal Ardley's thoughts on keeping striker

We are delighted to confirm that striker Paul McCallum has extended his loan deal with AFC Wimbledon until 23 February.

The 19-year-old has been given the green light by Premier League West Ham to prolong his stay at the Cherry Red Records Stadium after scoring four goals in five games since joining Wimbledon.

Neal Ardley hopes that McCallum, who recently signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with the Hammers, can maintain his rapid improvement in a Dons shirt that has boosted the club’s League 2 survival prospects.

“Paul is improving in every game for us and he is starting to learn what we expect from him,” said the Wimbledon manager. “He is getting fitter and stronger and it is great to have a striker in form like him.”
