The Dons v Morecambe

19 September 2014

Tickets left to get behind the Dons

You can get behind Wimbledon’s push for a second home win in five days tomorrow with seat and terrace tickets still left for the match against Morecambe.

The Dons have struck eight goals in four home league games so far this season and an entertaining match could be in prospect with League 2 high-flyers Morecambe having plundered six goals away from home in 2014/15. Bayo Akinenfwa (pictured) will be aiming to build on his excellent midweek display that deservedly earned plenty of acclaim from Wimbledon supporters.

.Morecambe ticketsWe have had good demand for tickets since Tuesday’s impressive 3-0 win against the League 2 leaders, but advance tickets can still be purchased by clicking on

Below is a summary of ticket availability and other information for tomorrow:

Tickets

tickets may be ordered until 11.00 am tomorrow morning and these can be collected from the booth in Jack Goodchild Way.Online We currently have seat tickets left in the Nongshim Stand. The Paul Strank Stand is sold out, though returns may become available for this section. Terrace tickets are available in the Chemflow End and the Your Golf Travel terrace.

Celebration of AFC Wimbledon Ladies and Girls

AFC Wimbledon Ladies and Girls FC will be joining us at tomorrow’s match and showing off their football skills. Hosted by the AFC Wimbledon Foundation, teams of all ages and one or two special guests will be watching the Morecambe match and they will be presented to the crowd at half-time. As part of this, the Under-12s will be performing skills on the pitch – and AFC Wimbledon Foundation staff will be joining in the fun!

Supporters should also watch out for a Speed Kick competition outside the stadium tomorrow with fundraising for AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls. Football League Trust Female Football Development Officer Nicole Meredith will be present at the match.

Bars

These will open from midday and Morecambe supporters will be welcomed into the bars. Our friendly bar team will be serving Sunkist Orange for just 75 pence (half pint) on Saturday. It’s the number one selling sparkling orange drink in the USA and is well worth a try if you fancy a soft drink at a bargain price. Upham Punter and London Pride will be available in the middle bar with Hogsback Hop Garden Gold in the back bar.

A double bill of Premier League action will be shown on screens in the bars with QPR versus Stoke on BT Sport from 12.45 pm and West Ham v Liverpool on Sky Sports (5.30 pm). The middle bar will close at 6:30pm to set up for an evening function.

Programme

Packed with news, interviews and features, the programme will be on sale at the usual price of £3 for 68 pages. With AFC Wimbledon Ladies and Girls as special guests tomorrow, we feature an interview with Chris Lyons. Chris, who took over as the ladies first-team manager in May, has been quick to seek help from Neal Ardley and Under-18s manager Mark Robinson in his bid to revitalise the club – and it appears to have paid off with three league wins out of four this season.

Man of the Match presentation

This will take place shortly after the match in the middle bar with Commercial Director Ivor Heller interviewing a player or two.
