New balls for Sky Bet Football League matches
New Mitre Delta V12S Fluo balls will be introduced at Sky Bet Football League matches this weekend and they will feature a logo to promote the Movember charity campaign.
In a first for The Football League, the new fluorescent yellow balls will include the iconic “Mo” to promote Movember.
Each year, Movember challenges men to grow moustaches during November to raise awareness and funds for beneficiaries, including The Football League’s official charity partner Prostate Cancer UK. The new Mitre Delta V12S Fluo football will be provided to all 72 Football League clubs for their first matches of November and will feature in the 34 Sky Bet Football League matches that kick-off on Saturday, including AFC Wimbledon’s match at Northampton Town.

The Mitre Delta V12S Fluo is a hi-visibility version of the Delta V12S, the most advanced FIFA approved quality match ball ever made. The football will be used in Sky Bet Football League matches from November until the end of February thanks to its high visibility in darker conditions. The fluorescent colour has also been proven to increase player reaction time. The ball retains Mitre’s unique 12 panel construction keeping the ball stable at over 70 mph and offering enhanced aerodynamics, optimising the speed and accuracy of a shot.
