More photographs and video footage from Saturday

Barry Fuller was the undisputed winner at the Player of the Year awards on Saturday, but it was a split decision from the Junior Dons.

Ross Worner shared the Junior Dons Player of the Year award with Barry and that was reward for the goalkeeper in his first season at Wimbledon as he’s been a virtual ever-present and kept 10 clean sheets.

Ross and Barry are pictured with Junior Dons William Lonsdale (left) and Nathan Persaud in the above photograph. More pictures (taken by Simon Roe and Zoe Linkson) from Saturday’s awards can be viewed in our gallery above.

George Francomb received the Natalie Callow Young Player of the Year award (sponsored by the Womble Underground Press).

“I’m delighted because I did not expect this award,” said George. “There have been other young lads that have done well in the team, including Michael Smith, who scored a lot of goals in the first half of the season. I have picked up in the second half of the season, but I have to come back in better shape at the start of next season. I need to carry my recent form into next season and build on that.”

If George does start next season in flying form then his trademark beard may be a thing of the past. The midfielder has promised Commercial Director Ivor Heller that he will shave it off at a man of the match presentation if he gets five goals next season!
