Previewing the new season
The new season starts two weeks today and we’re building up to 2014/15 by featuring all of Wimbledon’s opponents as part of the Football League’s “Wall of Colour” campaign.
AFC Wimbledon will be encouraging fans to wear their scarves, shirts, rosettes, hats, and anything else in blue and yellow to help the Dons to victory against Shrewsbury. We are also planning to run an event on Saturday, 9 August, to fit in with the Football League’s aim to celebrate the new season at clubs all around the country.

Following a relegation battle in 2012/13, Plymouth manager John Sheridan moved the club forward last season. The men from Devon briefly threatened to make a play-off charge, but those hopes were over by the time Wimbledon won 2-1 at Plymouth in April. Sheridan will be hoping they can last the distance this time around after overhauling his squad this summer. Eight additions have been made, but perhaps the most significant is bringing in Reuben Reid (pictured) on a permanent deal after his impressive loan spell from Yeovil Town.
