Seb on his Woking loan

Dons goalie says he has learned from Neil Sullivan

We can confirm that Seb Brown has joined Blue Square Premier club Woking on loan for an initial month.

Since the York City FA Cup replay on 12 November, Seb’s only taste of first-team action has been in the Surrey Senior Cup and the 23-year-old goalkeeper says he is looking forward to getting more matches under his belt.

And that could happen straight away tonight as Seb is in the squad for Woking’s trip to Barrow.

Seb Brown said: “It is a chance for me to put what I have been working on during training into practice during matches. I want to get back playing again as it has been a while since I was regularly in the first-team. It has been great to work with Neil Sullivan as he has played almost 600 league games with a lot of them in the top-flight. You cannot fail to learn from the way that he conducts himself, both on and off the pitch. Since Neil came here, he has made a point in training of highlighting the bad habits that Mikhael (Jaimez-Ruiz) and I need to eradicate. Sometimes you need fresh eyes to point out what you are doing wrong.

“The gaffer has always said that I am a young goalkeeper still and he is right as there are not many goalkeepers younger than I am who are currently playing in League 2. All I can do is strive to do better by going out and playing games and then hopefully be in the manager’s plans come the summer.”
