Public exhibitions to be held later this month

AFC Wimbledon in partnership with Galliard Homes is pleased to announce that three public exhibitions will be held later this month to reveal proposals for a new stadium at Plough Lane.

The exhibitions are being held at Wimbledon Park and Tooting and offer supporters a chance to see detailed plans about the stadium for the first time.

The club will have a significant presence at these public consultations to offer further information and it also offers an opportunity for local residents and supporters to provide feedback on the proposals.

Chief Executive Erik Samuelson said: “This is the next stage of a process that will hopefully lead to a return to Plough Lane. The exhibitions offer fans a chance to see detailed plans for the site, including computer-generated imagery of what the stadium will look like.

“We encourage all of our fans to visit the exhibitions because they provide a chance to give feedback about the proposals. If you cannot attend then we suggest you follow the link below and make sure you take advantage of the opportunity to ‘Have your say’ and make sure the consultation process is as wide ranging as possible.”

The website address to follow for this feedback section is as follows:  http://www.redevelopingploughlane.co.uk/

The club and Galliard Homes are working hard to spread the word about stadium plans during the consultation process. Leaflets are being delivered this week to 18,000 residents and businesses in the agreed consultation area. An advert will also appear in the Wimbledon Guardian to publicise the exhibition.

The dates, times and venue for each of the public consultations are as follows:

Lola Jones Hall, Tooting Leisure Centre, Greaves Place, SW17 0NE (Friday, 27 June 12 noon to 8.00 pm)
