Midfielder included in JPT goal of the round competition

Peter Sweeney’s sublime strike at Brentford earlier this month has been nominated in the top-10 goals for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round.

The midfielder’s classy goal at Griffin Park was selected for inclusion in the first “Ultimate Finish” competition of 2013/14. Sweeney’s first Wimbledon goal came in the 5-3 defeat at Brentford and over 50 goals were scored in a highly entertaining first round of 16 matches in the JPT.

The successful player will receive a trophy as reward for their goal-scoring brilliance, while fans who voted for the winning strike will be entered into a special prize draw for the chance to win an iPod Shuffle.
