Travel update for Dagenham

Options for supporters travelling to Victoria Road

The Dons travel to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, but we wish to remind supporters that there is part closure of the District Line.

Wimbledon had an excellent travelling support at Victoria Road last season when the Dons won 2-0 (the picture above shows Rashid Yussuff celebrating his superb goal in the victory) and we hope you will provide great backing again on Saturday.

For those planning to travel by train, we therefore publish the following guide after receiving information from Transport for London.

The District Line is closed between Earls Court and Aldgate East so supporters have the following two options for train travel (assuming a starting point of Wimbledon station).

South West Trains to Waterloo, then Jubilee line to West Ham, then District line to Dagenham East. 1.

2. District line from Wimbledon to Notting Hill Gate, Central line to Mile End, then District line to Dagenham East.

Also, please note the train frequency east of Barking on the District line is only running at 6 trains per hour (a further 6 trains are operating as far as Barking on the Hammersmith & City Line).  To change at Notting Hill Gate supporters must get one of the Edgware Road trains (6 out of the 9 trains will do this - the other 3 terminate at High St Kensington). If supporters choose the second option, then please note the Wimbledon branch service is reduced from 12 trains per hour to 9.

Alternatively, we still have places on the supporters’ coach, which will be picking up from The Grove at 12.00 noon and the Cherry Red Records Stadium at 12.30 pm. Bookings may be made by contacting the club office on 020 8547 3528.
