Voting for stadium sale

30 October 2015

Second leg of "Back in Two Ticks" campaign

The Dons Trust is urging members to get their votes in for the second round of a crucial vote to sell the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

This weekend is a prime opportunity to vote as members can visit the Dons Trust kiosk before and after tomorrow’s Hartlepool match to do so.

All Dons Trust members should by now have received their invitation to take part in the second round of voting on the sale of the current stadium. These were sent out to all members on Monday – by e-mail to around 90 per cent of members and by mail to the remainder.

All members are asked to check that they have received their voting invitations and are encouraged to send in their proxy vote – either online or on paper – as early as possible.

Volunteers will be on hand at the Dons Trust kiosk, before and after Saturday’s match against Hartlepool, to answer any questions about the voting process.  Members can bring their completed paper proxy forms to hand in or can fill in a paper voting form on the spot.  However, if you have already received an e-mail inviting you to vote, there is no need to wait until Saturday to cast your vote.

last Friday, DT members gave a resounding thumbs up to the sale of the stadium, but another ‘yes” vote is required to facilitate a move to a new stadium back at Plough Lane.announcedAs

.websiteThe Dons Trust board recommends that members vote YES, in favour of the resolution authorising the board to sell the stadium.  This is an essential part of raising the funds to enable AFC Wimbledon to develop a new stadium in Merton.  Further details can be provided at the Dons Trust

All proxy votes must have been received by 7.30 pm on 14 November, in advance of the SGM on 16 November.
