Youth football festival v Millwall and Norwich on Sunday

There’s a great festival of football at the Cherry Red Records Stadium this Sunday with all supporters welcome to watch young Dons taking on Millwall and Norwich City.

AFC Wimbledon teams from Under-9s through to Under-14s will be playing against Millwall and the final game will see our Under-15/16 squad facing the Canaries.

Will Nightingale, Ryan Sweeney and Alfie Egan have all featured in the academy's annual "Stadium Games" in recent seasons before going onto earn professional contracts.

Over 3,000 supporters watched the Dons bow out of the FA Youth Cup to Chelsea at the fifth round stage in February and supporters now have a chance to watch our younger age groups in match action at the stadium.

Seven of the boys representing the Under-15s/Under-16s will join Mark Robinson's Under-18 squad for 2016/17.

Mark said: "After the support we received in the FA Youth Cup it would be lovely to see some of our fans watching the talent we have in the younger age groups. I am positive they will be excited about the future. Also, in the final game versus Norwich seven of the lads playing will be coming into our Under-18 squad for next season."

The main bar will be open from 12 noon and we will be showing the televised Premier League matches on TV. No alcohol will be allowed pitch-side.

The running order for matches (some are small-sided games) is as follows:

• 9.00 am – Under-9s

• 9.00 am – Under-10s

• 9.00 am – Under-11s

• 11.00 am – Under-12s

• 1.00 pm - Under- 13s

• 3.00 pm – Under-14s

• 5.00 pm – Under-15/16s

Please note that parking will be restricted due to an athletics event at the nearby Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre. No scouts from other clubs will be admitted entrance.
