Video of fun charity event for Merton Mencap

AFC Wimbledon supporter Wayne Lecky struck the back of the net in today’s charity challenge after leaving captain Barry Fuller trailing in his wake!

Wayne, who attends High Path Day Community Resource Centre in South Wimbledon, showed plenty of strength to power past Bayo Akinfenwa and Tom Elliott, before getting on the end of Lyle Taylor’s pass to beat James Shea in goal. His power-packed run also proved too much for our tough-tackling skipper!

Neil Cox said: "As soon as we found out about this the lads were up for doing this. They call Wayne the 'Mini Beast' and all the boys were out here supporting him. We were all having a laugh and it was good that the boys took time out to do it. It was also good for people to come down to the training ground and they are always more than welcome. We had a good time with them."
