Some impressive displays with both the U19's and Reserves last season prompted Terry Brown to offer Chris a contract and the youngster offered Michael Haswell stiff competition for the number three jersey last season, Spent a loan spell at Windsor & Eton at the start of 2007/8, but returned to cover injuries and some mature performances rightly earned him the Young Player of the Year Award.
