Profile: Chelmsford-born Luis made his Football League debut as a substitute in Gillingham's 2–0 home defeat against Yeovil Town on 5 May 2007.
In September 2007 he was loaned to Maidstone United, scoring the winning goal on his debut in a 2–1 win over Tonbridge Angels. Recalled from the Stones, where he had scored an impressive 11 goals in 13 matches, he was immediately loaned out again - to Grays Athletic, where he scored on his debut away to Aldershot Town
After two months with the Essex club, Luis returned to Priestfield and in February 2008 joined AFC Wimbledon - again on a temporary basis - making his debut away at Harrow Borough and contributed some vital goals (including one in the Ryman playoff final at Staines). Returned to Priestfield in May 2008 to sign a new full-time deal with the Gills.
