Profile: A one man AFCW youth policy, Lewis impressed in the pre-season of 2003/4 and matured into a confident centre back. He was a willing substitute when needed and slotted in well alongside Matt Everard when Danny Oakins was sidelined. Scored his first Dons goal against Southall, highlighting his ability and versatility. But eventually frustration at a lack of first team opportunities saw a move to Whyteleafe in 2004 and then to Horsham in the summer of 2006 where his career blossomed. Some energetic displays and 22 goals in 94 appearances for the Hornets typified the qualities identified by Terry Brown for his new-look midfield being assembled for 2008/9 and his return to Kingsmeadow was the Dons first signing after being promoted to the Blue Square South..
