Youth Development Introduction

The AFC Wimbledon Youth Development Programme is an integral part of the strategy of the football club. The vision is to develop footballers who can move up to the senior first team and help to ensure the future of the club. The programme enjoys the full support of the football club’s Board of Directors, the Dons Trust Board and Dons Trust members. The philosophy of the programme is to develop players with excellent technique, outstanding fitness, solid mental strength and fantastic team spirit.

The programme consists of three sections:

Pre-Academy Development Centre

South Thames College Academy

AFC Wimbledon Academy

Each of these contributes to the success of the AFC Wimbledon Youth Development Programme.
