Experienced Scottish left-back signed from AFC Bournemouth in June. He began his career at Chelsea, and between 2000 and 2003 spent time on loan at Bournemouth, WBA and Dundee United. When Chelsea released him in 2003, he signed for the Cherries and remained there for eight seasons, making over 300 appearances and becoming club captain. He missed nine months with a double leg fracture in 2006 but fought back to regain his place. In the past two seasons his opportunities were limited, and towards the end of 2011/12 he had a loan spell with Crawley Town. He was capped once by Scotland, in 2002.
