A right sided midfielder, George’s first spell with AFC Wimbledon was a three-month loan early in 2012/13.
When he was released by Norwich City in June 2013 he signed permanently for the Dons. He played youth football with Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich, and made his first-team debut for the Canaries in 2009.
His opportunities at Carrow Road were limited but he enjoyed successful loan spells with Barnet and with Hibernian, for whom he came on as a second-half substitute in the 2012 Scottish Cup Final.
George’s assured performances in his first full season with AFC Wimbledon and his four goals saw him voted Young Player of the Year. He has been a regular since for Wimbledon and has gone on to make over 100 club appearances.
