Greenwich-born striker signed in July 2015 after his release by Scunthorpe United.
Lyle, who played youth football for Staines Town and Millwall, made his mark with Concord Rangers, appearing in every league game and netting 34 times in 2009/10. He then spent two seasons with AFC Bournemouth, but couldn’t secure a regular first-team place and had loan spells with Lewes, Hereford United and Woking.
Released by the Cherries in summer 2012, he spent a season apiece with Falkirk and Sheffield United, though for the second part of 2013/14 he was back north of the border on loan at Partick Thistle. A transfer to Scunthorpe United followed in June last year, and Lyle spent the last three months of the season back on loan with Partick Thistle. He has been capped twice by Montserrat.
Lyle struck 21 league goals last season in a brilliant first season with the Dons, including the opener on that glorious day at Wembley in May.
