Match Details: Tickets left for The Dons v Doncaster

Cheer on Wally's boys in pursuit of vital points

8 March 2019

AFC Wimbledon will be aiming to start an important week by securing three valuable points against Doncaster Rovers and tickets are available to show your support for The Dons.

We will be supporting a vital cause off the pitch too, as Saturday marks the official launch of the AFC Wimbledon Disabled Supporters Association, in conjunction with Level Playing Field’s #Weeksofaction.

Below is a summary of ticket availability, plus a round-up of what’s happening on your Dons match day:

Tickets

We still have availability for the popular Chemflow terrace behind the goal and you can order in advance from our online ticket shop  until 11.00 am on Saturday morning. We also have tickets remaining for the RyGas terrace (just £17 for adults). This is not an all-ticket game and Dons supporters will be able to pay on the day at the turnstiles. All tickets ordered before Wednesday 6 March will have been posted out. Tickets ordered after this point will be made available for collection from the white ticket booth (next to the Dons Trust kiosk) before the game this Saturday.

Bars

These will be open from 12 noon with a wide selection of drinks, including real ales, available for supporters to buy. We will be showing the lunch-time Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Brighton on TV screens in the bar areas. Following Wimbledon versus Doncaster, the early evening match between Man City and Watford will be shown on TV screens in the bars.

In the Your Golf Travel Bar, real ales including Plough Lane Ale and Wimbledon XXK will be served. There will also be a tasty new tipple added to the list with supporters able to sample Voyager Fruity Copper Ale. The Back Bar will have Plough Lane Ale, Wimbledon Common, and XXK, available to buy. Both pop-up bars will be open, serving Wimbledon Pale Ale and Wimbledon Gold.

We will be pleased to welcome Doncaster supporters into the bar areas.

FREE tokens to mark World Book Day

Our Foundation and WHS Smiths will be running a pop-up bookstall between 13.00 and 14.30 before the match. It will be located next to the inflatable goal (close to the back bar). As part of this, £1 World Book Day tokens (we will be giving these out) can be exchanged at our pop-up store for one of 10 FREE World Book Day books. For more information, take a look at our previous announcement.

Security Checks

We will be conducting security searches on both home and away fans outside the turnstiles, before you enter the stadium, rather than when you have just entered through the turnstiles. We have taken this decision on police recommendation and to help speed up entry through the turnstiles.

Launch of Dons DSA

To mark Level Playing Fields' (LPF) weeks of action, AFC Wimbledon’s Disability Supporters Association (DSA) are officially launching on Saturday. The AFC Wimbledon DSA will be situated next to the white ticket booth this before our game against Doncaster Rovers. Jess and Chris, Chair and Vice-Chair, from our DSA will be handing out leaflets about their work and taking contact information from fans who want to find out more. Pop along and say hello before the big match this weekend. For more information and how to get involved, read our previous article.

Programme

Our first match day edition in March is well worth adding to your collection as it includes an interview with a loan player who has made a big impression since joining us on loan – Steve Seddon. The full-back tells us how a difficult experience earlier this season shaped his career. Will Nightingale is also interviewed about filling the role of captain in Deji Oshilaja’s absence.

Dons Trust Kiosk

DT members and people interested in the work of the Trust are welcome to visit the Dons Trust Kiosk before the match. You can also join the Trust or renew your membership at the kiosk, sign up to the Dons Draw (our regular monthly lottery), or donate loose change, foreign currency or items for AFCbay (our online auction). Jane Lonsdale and Cormac van der Hoeven will be available at the kiosk for supporters to talk to about the DT’s work, which includes promoting Diversity and Inclusion and the Junior Dons.

Win a Dons shirt from the penalty spot!

How good are you at penalty shootouts? Come and show your worth on Saturday before the match. The top scorers will win one of 2 AFC Wimbledon shirts. You can have a go by striking your penalty at the inflatable goal (close to the back bar) on Saturday. Remember if you take your car or home insurance with A-Plan Wimbledon, we donate £50 to the Wimbledon fund - just quote WAWF.

Golden Goal

Have a chance to win the £100 first prize by buying a Golden Goal ticket tomorrow! Tickets cost just £1, so look out for our Golden Goal sellers around the stadium before the game.

Tickets for away games

You can buy tickets for the away matches at Southend United (16 March) and Scunthorpe United (30 March). Get your ticket from the complimentary tickets window before the game or for a short time after the match. Places on the supporters’ coach can also be booked.
