Quaine's double sets Dons on the way to title glory

Our Under-18s win the Youth Alliance League South East title

Two powerful strikes from Quaine Bartley early in the first half set our young Dons on course for the league crown.

Wimbledon required just a point to secure the Youth Alliance South East title at our training ground this afternoon, but they went on to win 5-2 against Cambridge United. Powerful front man Bartley (pictured) put the young Dons in a strong position in the first half, along with a goal from Welsh prospect Morgan Williams.

Although Cambridge fought back and had a better second half, further goals from Paris Lock and an impressive effort from Isaac Olaniyan created history and sealed our first league title at this level. Coach James Oliver-Pearce, who had led the young Dons for the majority of the season before his promotion, watched on with the rest of our first team staff including Mark Robinson.

Academy Manager Michael Hamilton was in the dugout to help guide the young Dons over the line and to their first piece of silverware for this season.
