Striker on signing for the Dons
He may not have got a taste of the action at Stevenage on Tuesday night, but Charlie Strutton was still on cloud nine after signing for the Dons.
The striker had to wait right until the eve of the new season to get the nod from Terry Brown that he will be an AFC Wimbledon player during 2012/13.
And Charlie, who initially joined the Dons in March from Chalfont St Peter, could barely contain his excitement at signing for us when Mike Taliadoros interviewed him after the defeat at Stevenage.
“I am over the moon as it is every kid’s dream to be signed by a professional club,” Charlie said. “I have been working very hard and when Terry said I had a chance to sign I jumped at the chance.”
Charlie’s interview can be viewed on Dons Player, along with an update from Stuart Cash on tomorrow’s clash against his old club and an interview with Simon Bassey after his recent testimonial.
