Dons Trust Board meeting

9 August 2012

Update from 6 August

The Dons Trust Board held its monthly meeting on Monday 6 August.

This included a discussion on the now published statement on the club’s vision for making the Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium its new home in response to Merton Council’s recent call for sites. The meeting was chaired by Iain McNay and started with the monthly report from the Football Club Board.

There was also some discussion about Farnrise Construction's inability to complete the North Stand for the opening fixture with Chesterfield on 18 August and the arrangements for the reduced capacity.

There then followed a discussion on the regular reports from the Commercial Director, the Youth and Community Director, the Operations Director and the Chief Executive.

A detailed commentary will be prepared for the next meeting.  The profit before depreciation is expected to be slightly better than forecast. Erik Samuelson then took the Board through the quarterly accounts and twelve-month accounts for the year to 30 June.

The second half of the meeting focussed on the proposed arrangements for the next Dons Trust Special General Meeting (SGM) scheduled for 20 September. There were also various items raised under Any Other Business including further feedback from the Community Working Group and arrangements for the next Board elections.

The Dons Trust Board is due to have a special meeting on 16 August to discuss the items at the SGM and in particular the progress and timetable for the New Stadium project including funding and other arrangements.
