Watford man links-up with Pim again
New loan signing Dale Bennett says he will relish the chance to form a defensive partnership with Pim Balkestein having spent time with him last season at Brentford.
Watford centre-back Bennett, aged 22, enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Bees last season and Balkestein is a familiar face for him to work with once again.
“I was at Brentford last season and I did quite well there so I am looking to continue where I left off during that loan spell,” he said. “I trained with Pim, but he was on loan for a spell when I was at Brentford. I have seen him play a fair bit though and I know what he is about from training. Watford have been massive for my development as I have been there for nine years. Not a lot was happening for me at this time though, Watford have signed about 15 players and it was the right time for me to go out and get games. I decided to grab the opportunity with both hands when it was offered to me.”
